When You Don’t Know What to Say or Think, Turn to People Smarter than You and Read

This week, I don’t know what to say. The world is big, and likely to change dramatically in the coming days— for better or for worse, we don’t yet know. I don’t have it in me to write a post about the hypocrisy of my having laser hair removal. (A huge time-saver, but also an admission that patriarchal beauty standards are fully ingrained in my psyche.) I also don’t have any more words of optimism or wisdom to dole out. Shit’s going down, my friends. I don’t know what to say.

If you’re looking for feminist reading of substance, check out this the article Gloria Steinem published in TIME Magazine: “What It Would Be Like if Women Win.” She wrote and published the article in 1970, and last March, she revisited the article with what she’d add today.
